Whales, Whales, and more Whales

Posted by on July 23, 2011

Just a quick post to bring you up to date with the official launch of the whale watching season in Hervey Bay, known as the whale watching capital of the world!! Postponed due to rain last weekend, the Urangan Marina will come alive from 3pm on Friday 29 July 2011 for the ‘Blessing of the Fleet’ and ‘Open day’ aboard the Whale Watching tour boats.  There will be markets and free entertainment followed by fireworks.  So come along and checkout the fleet and have a great night out with the family. For more information check out Fraser Coast Events website.

Make sure you also keep Saturday 6 August 2011 free to come along to Seafront Oval, Pialba, Hervey Bay and take part in the day long festivities of the Hervey Bay Whale Festival starting at 10am and finishing with the illumination parade and fireworks along the beautiful stretch of the Esplanade. For more info have a look at their website www.herveybaywhalefestival.com.au
