School Holidays and Mary Poppins!
Schools out and for the next two weeks it will be busy around the streets and parks of Hervey Bay.
There is always a lot of exciting activities planned around the Fraser Coast during the School Holiday periods. Checkout the Fraser Coast Libraries, the Hervey Bay Cultural Centre and Museum, which have art and craft workshops and the Hervey Bay Historical Village and Museum puts on additional shows as well.
July is also a busy month with the Mary Poppins Festival in full swing until the 6th of July. There is a week long agenda of planned activities for everyone, and culminating on Saturday 8 July with a jam packed Day in the Park. The final day of the Mary Poppins Festival will be a hive of activity. There are limited spots available for the activities so click here to register.
As we get closer to the Whale Watching season, July ends with the Blessing of the Fleet, which heralds the start of the season, held annually at the Urangan Marina. This is being held on Saturday 27 July starting at 4pm and culminating with Fireworks display at 7:30pm. With plenty of activities, stalls and live entertainment everyone is welcome.
